Hair Removal Products

Over the years I have used many hair removal products. Some have worked pretty good and some were complete crap. Some have been too messy to incorporate into my regular routine and some have had virtually no mess.

Depilatory Creams: First I will say that depilatory creams are a waste of your money. They smell, they burn and irritate the skin and the number one reason why they are no good is because they do not work! Yes I realize I may get some people upset because they just love Nair or Veet! Well more power to you if you feel these products work for you. I have used both Nair and Veet and I have even asked my female friends to use them and report back to me with their data. The verdict is out that they do not work effectively. Some hair is always left behind and has to be removed by other means after wards.

Shaving: I am not going to touch too much on shaving. Shaving is one of the fastest and effective methods of removing hair but unfortunately it straight edge shaving the bikini line is like opening a can of worms. All sorts of issues will arise from shaving the bikini line such as ingrown hairs, major irritation of the skin which leads to itching. Ewww!

Shaving also limits you to pretty much only your underarms and legs since I do not recommend shaving your facial hair, pubic area or your backside.

Waxing: There are so many waxing hair removal products and I do feel waxing is the best method for removing hair. Even among all the waxing products I have tried I can't even report that there are many horrible waxing products out there, but there are a few. Some waxes are too sticky or just don't do the job properly. I do recommend that you steer clear of cold waxing strips that look like "scotch tape". They will not only remove your hair but you might be missing a few layers of skin after wards. Ouch! I'm not kidding. Sally Hensen and Veet both have hair removal products that are pre-waxed strips and they were the most painful waxing strips I have ever used. I thought it was just an off day so I gave them a 2nd try and both products induced enormous pain and irritation. In fact days later my skin started to peel.
